November 10th will mark the 75th anniversary of the death of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, Throughout Turkey they will remember with gratitude and respect Ataturk who was the commander in chief in the Turkish war of Independence and founder of the Grand National Assembly and of the Republic of Turkey.
One of the most highly regarded leaders in world history, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk propelled Turkey into the ranks of the world’s major nations thanks to his military prowess and his political genius.
As he said before he passed away on November 10, 1938, “My poor body will one day re-turn to dust, but the Republic of Turkey will endure forever”
And down through the generations of Turks they will always remember Kemal Ataturk every November 10th, and endeavor to understand how he transformed Turkey into one nation.
Why was Kemal Ataturk important to Turkey?
He wasn't important, He is important. He is the reason why Turks exist. If He wasn't born, there would be no such thing as a 'Turk'. He is the creator of the Republic Of Turkey. Turks owe Him their existence, because He dedicated his life to Turkey. He is the greatest leader, president, commander and father a country could ever have. Even if he didn't have a child, he is the father of Turks.
