Top places to go to in Nişantaşı

London has New Bond Street, New York has 5th Avenue, and Istanbul has the Nişantaşı neighbourhood. Many of Istanbul’s elite can be seen here; artists, creative directors and famous Turkish celebrities all flock to this ultra modern district. Impeccably dressed, sophisticated visitors frequent this exclusive lively neighbourhood.


Nişantaşı is the place to go for luxurious shopping. Its full of exclusive shops, boutiques and stores with big brands Gucci, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Armani to name but a few.


The stylish Nişantaşı is not just for the super wealthy, if you appreciate chic bars and elegant cafes then it is the perfect place to get a coffee and unwind in luxurious surroundings.



Why not try the famous 'Konak Patisserie', founded in 1975 by the Aki family. It has been a firm favourite for decades and its not just the fine collection of cakes that make it worth visiting, its rooftop terrace has breathtaking views of Istanbul.


Open daily between 8 am and 12 am, they also serve brunch on Sundays.


If you have a sweet tooth then you must visit the world-renowned 'Godiva Chocolatier', which sell the most heavenly chocolates in Istanbul, found on Abdi Ipekçi Street.


Evenings in Nişantaşı come alive. The streets are buzzing with the local Istanbul elite going to the many top restaurants and bars found here. 


One such bar is 'Frankie', located on the rooftop of the sofa hotel and is one of Istanbul’s premium bar and restaurant.


Frankie provides an opulent and lively atmosphere; guests can savour a variety of cocktails while enjoying live DJ and acoustic performances from local and international artists.


The superb wine cellar offers numerous fine international vintages from around the world, giving wine-lovers a chance to expand their wine repertoire.



If you are a wine buff you can head for 'Kav wine boutique', found on Atiye Street, it is home to a great selection of Turkish wines; the boutique is run by local wine producing brand Kavaklidere  


If you do want to hit the best shops head for Abdi Ipekçi Street, which is, where you will find the famous designers and brands. 


You wont find Nişantaşı is any guide books, so don’t just visit the city’s famous landmarks, make this a must trip in your Istanbul itinerary.
