Right to cancel a power of Attorney in Turkey - You have the right to revoke a Power of Attorney at any time. In order to cancel a power of attorney you need to contact a Notary Public where it was issued. You need to send a written notice to the person(s) who were appointed your representative and state that you are revoking the Power of Attorney. Do not forget to request the return of all copies of your Power of Attorney. You should also notify your bank or other financial institutions where your Agent is likely to use the Power of Attorney that it is no longer valid.

Process - The Granter (the one who gives a POA to someone) must apply to a Turkish Notary to revoke the POA.

The Granter must have or provide the POA details (date, reference no., from which notary etc)

You (the Granter) will also need to provide identification (passport) and pay a fee to the notary. The POA will immediately be cancelled and all parties will be notified of the cancellation.

*It is also possible to cancel a POA from a different Notary from where the original was issued.
